Gracious writing desk for room centre with four tall curved legs, decorated on the top by hand-carved leaves. The frame is made of solid deal, veneered with walnut burl, thickness 3 mm. The flap is made of hand-carved national walnut. The lovely walnut colour is obtained from a blend of natural earths diluted in water. A film of beeswax is applied evenly to the piece using a cotton cloth as the last stage. |
