A representative sideboard of superior cabinet-making with a single door inlaid with various woods depicting the ruins of Pompeii. A cupboard with a simple structure with front curving slightly outwards. Top and sides veneered with national walnut worked in herringbone style in four quarters. The sliding door on the front of this model, framed by a simple cornice moulded internally, enhances the landscape as if it were a painting. Hand-polished with a pad and elbow grease. |
