Chest with 3 drawers, with "S" bombé form. Solid beech is used for the legs and cornices while Tanganyika plywood is used for the remainder. Piece lacquered with a neutral tonality and floral motif decorations. The lacquerer, or painter as he would have been called in 18th century Venice, enhanced this elegant furniture by applying delicately aged gold leaf on the cornices and carved parts. |
