An elegant chest with hinged lid and projecting cornice. On the front of the trunk is an elaborate inlay depicting a pair of maned lions attacked by snakes, in maple wood. Made of solid oak wood and veneered with walnut. The polisher has enhanced the painstaking inlay of the chest, isolating the maple from the walnut background.
