Elaborate secretary desk in walnut and walnut burl inlaid with rosewood. The base of the bureau is bombé shaped on the front and sides, bordered by the play of inlaid pilasters. Inside the flap the piece encloses a singular unit composed of two drawers, a door and two open compartments. Drop moulded with console feet. The top with split tympanum coping centred by a mirror and two shaped doors with extractable tablettes below. Hand-polished. |
