Flap desk with walnut burl veneer. The structure of this piece is made of solid wood but without value and then faced with fine veneers of precious wood by gluing. The wood veneers glued on this desk were selected and chosen for their veining and colour in such a way that the wood veneers form a symmetrical pattern. Original mid 19th century writing table. Its restoration and finish exalt its beauty.
