Seventeenth-century trunk from the Serenissima republic of Venice. A spartan structure typical of rural home of that time. The chest is very long and was undoubtedly used to store clothing. It is made of various woods: Italian walnut on the front, chestnut and fruit wood for the rest. Its rustic but simple lines make this a versatile piece, easy to fit into any type of decor. The ad hoc restoration has left it ready for the final polishing.
